Frequently Asked Questions

What horsepower capacity does the 2020 Street Bob® have?

The Street Bob® runs on 86.0 HP.

Is the Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® essentially the same model as the Dyna?

The most iconic and modern Dyna is the Street Bob®. The HD® Street Bob® is a scaled-down, Dyna-equipped bobber bike; the model boasts a rubber-mounted Big Twin, dual coilover rear shocks, and footpeg controls - and nothing else. Dynas have made the best medium for Major Twin efficiency and unhindered capacity for alteration and customization.

For HD® bikes, how is a Street Bob® different from a Fat Bob? What are their specific measurements?

The Fat Boy® is 92.1 inches long and 28 inches unladen seat height. The Street Bob® is 91.3 inches long, measuring a few inches shorter than the Fat Boy®. In terms of unladen seat, the Street Bob® is 26.8 inches. For ground clearance, Street Bob®'s at 4.9 inches while Fat Boy®'s at 4.7 inches.

Is the Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® different from a Softail®?

It will be impossible to claim that the Softail Standard® is a brand-new bike by purely glancing at it. As long as pricing is involved, the Softail® is $1,000 less than a Street Bob®, although the Softail® is $2,000 more costly than the high-end Sportster, which comes with a much bigger engine.

In short, what a great experience buying a vehicle, which unfortunately seems to be a rare occurrence in this day and age.First of all, the folks I worked with (Jeremy Lane and Shawn Ryan) were willing to work with me on the bike and they understand the complex environment we live in these days with COVID. For example, they helped me by getting me the information to make my decision, at my request, so that I could minimize my time in the dealership. This, unfortunately, was something that other dealerships in the area weren't willing to do and before contacting HD Baltimore I dealt with a lot of the antiquated sales tactics of "come in and check out the bikes before we give you ballpark pricing on what you will expect to spend." However, at HD Baltimore I was very impressed by ZERO sales tricks (excessive waiting pressure, four squaring, etc.) and, in summary, I walked into the dealership knowing exactly what to expect.Secondly, when you buy a motorcycle from a dealership you are more than likely going to rely on that dealership for follow-on trips for motorcycle service, etc. That being said, the customer service you experience when buying a bike speaks volumes to the kind of treatment you will receive when you inevitably have to visit for servicing your motorcycle or repairs. That being said, and even though HD Baltimore is more than 30 miles away, I will make that trip for anything regarding my bike and will happily bypass other, closer dealerships to make that happen.Lastly, they put in the work to make sure you don't feel like you're a number and their dealership is a revolving door. Even today I received a nice handwritten card in the mail thanking me for my business, which speaks volumes to the effort they put into each customer, not just the sale.
