The 2019 Harley-Davidson® FXDR® is a power cruiser-styled addition to its fleet of Softail®, featuring their most highly tuned 1868cc V-twin combined with a long, low, feet-forward cruiser riding position and a raked-out chassis. At nearly twenty grand, it's also the most expensive. BikeSocial goes for a ride at the launch in Greece to find out if the sums add up.
The drag-style FXDR® looks great, is the most powerful Harley® big twin yet and has performance brakes and forks - but it also has just 5bhp more than a Fat Bob®, is uncomfortable, has compromised handling yet costs a full £4000 more than the Fat Bob®, too.
The 10th new bike in the Softail® lineup, the FXDR® has styling inspired by drag racing, is designed loosely around the Breakout chassis, offers the highest lean angle of any Softail®, sports an inverted fork and an aluminum swingarm that trims a bit over 10 pounds, and is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine. The bike sits curbside at 668 pounds.
The V-Rod has been put out to pasture, and the 2019 Harley-Davidson® FXDR® 114 alone fills the power cruiser role. Those are some big shoes to fill. Luckily, the FXDR® is making those boots burst at the seams with a power cruiser that not only has excellent power, but also handling abilities.

I highly recommend Dina Kress. As soon as I walked In, she walked right over to offer her services. She was patient walked me through the inventory and helped pick the best bike. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer every question that I had.A day after the sale, Dina followed up asked if I had any questions or concerns.
